Method: Lambert Azimuthal Equal Area

Area of use: North America including Greenland, the Caribbean and Central America, together with circum-polar area north of 83°40'N. Excluding the circum-polar area, the longitude extent is from 167.65° in west across the 180° meridian to 15.72° in east.
